NEW ORLEANS (Nov. 13) – California University of Pennsylvania graduate student
Christopher Clark (Hadley, Pa./Commodore Perry) was named the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Men’s Athlete of the Year on Thursday, announced the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Clark won the NCAA Atlantic Regional at Cooper’s Lake Campground last Saturday with a course record time of 31 minutes. The 6-1 graduate student won the event by 23 seconds for his third individual title of the season. He previously won race titles at both the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.
A native of Hadley, Pa., Clark will now represent the Vulcans on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, which will also be hosted at Cooper’s Lake Campground and Slippery Rock University.
