WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Dec. 8) – For the second-straight year, California University of Pennsylvania senior cornerback Terrence Johnson (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) was selected to the Daktronics Division II All-America Second Team on Tuesday, as voted on by members of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Johnson joins former running back Antoine Bagwell as only the Vulcan players to earn All-America honors from Daktronics in recent program history (since 2004).

A four-year starter, Johnson finished the season tied for team lead with three interceptions (all three in the post-season) and ranked fifth on the squad with a career-high 56 tackles (39 solo). The 6-0 senior cornerback also registered nine pass break-ups, 4.0 tackles for loss (TFL), two forced fumbles and one blocked kick.

A Braddock, Pa., native, Johnson led the Vulcans in interceptions in each of his four years to finish with 16 career interceptions. He also posted 178 tackles (133 solo) with 8.0 TFL, 35 pass break-ups, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks in his stellar career.

Johnson and East Stroudsburg junior linebacker Matt Freed are the only two representatives from the PSAC to received All-America accolades from Daktronics.

The All-America teams are sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
