Party in the Park IV scheduled for Sept. 5

CALIFORNIA (July 29) – With the recent start of a new academic year, California University of Pennsylvania announced its plans for its annual Party in the Park. The event will be highlighted by Changes in Latitude – the official Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band – on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Roadman Park prior to the Vulcans' football game against Bloomsburg University.

The festivities will begin with a live broadcast by WISH 99.7 FM with Cris Winter at 2 p.m. followed by opening-act Stereotype at 3:30 p.m. Cal U President Dr. Angelo Armenti, Jr. will be hosting a welcome back picnic at 4 p.m. The concert by Changes in Latitude is then scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and last 90 minutes.

The Party in the Park concert is a free event to all students, faculty, staff and guests. The President's dinner is also free to all faculty, staff and students. All others can purchase dinner for $6.25.

The night culminates with a nationally-ranked meeting between Cal U and Bloomsburg at Adamson Stadium at 7 p.m. The game is one of four contests this year featuring the Vulcans that will be broadcasted on FSN Pittsburgh.
