LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Sept. 14) – California University of Pennsylvania junior transfer Jordan Atha (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) was selected the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Athlete of the Week on Monday by the league office.

Atha captured her first individual title as a Vulcan at the seven-team Carl Broughton Invitational that was hosted by Marietta (Ohio) on Saturday. The 5-5 junior crossed the finish line in 19 minutes, 28 seconds to win the 66-runner event by nearly 21 seconds. Atha helped lead the Vulcans to a second-place showing for a consecutive weekend.

The Maryland native is the first Cal U runner in recent program history to win an individual title and receive PSAC Athlete of the Week honors.

Atha and the Vulcans return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19, when it competes in the Penn State Behrend Invitational in Erie.
