The California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team has won the last three NCAA regional titles and enters the tournament with a 21-12 record this year. Edinboro will host the three-day tournament on Nov. 19-21 after receiving the second seed and will face Lock Haven in a rematch of last week's PSAC Semifinals. The winner of Cal U-IUP will face the winner of Edinboro-Lock Haven on Saturday, Nov. 20.
Clarion earned the top seed in the region after winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament last night and will face Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Champion Chowan (N.C.). The winner of the match will face either West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Champion and fourth-seeded Wheeling Jesuit or fifth-seeded Gannon.
The Vulcans have posted an all-time record of 18-9 (.667) in nine previous NCAA Tournament appearances, highlighted by advancing to the NCAA Semifinals in 2000.
