EVANSTON, Ill. (Feb. 12) – The California University of Pennsylvania swimming team received Scholar All-American honors for the Fall 2009 semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently.
The Vulcans were one of 28 women's swimming teams in NCAA Division II to meet the requirement of a team grade-point average of 3.00 or higher. Cal U posted the 10th-highest team GPA in the nation after totaling a 3.28 GPA during the fall semester. The Vulcans were also one of five Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) programs to earn CSCAA Scholar All-American status.
Cal U returns to action next week at the PSAC Championships, beginning Thursday, Feb. 18, in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
