Dedication held at new tennis complex

CALIFORNIA (May 5) – Coinciding with hosting this weekend's NCAA Tournament, California University of Pennsylvania held a tennis court dedication on Wednesday afternoon at the new tennis complex in Roadman Park.

The six-court complex features the same Deco Turf surface used at some of the world's most prestigious tennis events, including the U.S. Open and NCAA Division I National Championships.

The complex, which is accessed by turning onto Blaine Road from PA-88, features lights on all six courts. The new facility also features restrooms, a concession stand and a 16-vechile parking lot.

The facility will be the new home for the Vulcans, who have won four-consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships. Cal U will host the opening-round matches of the NCAA Tournament at the new complex and will face the winner of the East Stroudsburg-Mercyhurst match on Friday, May 6, at 2 p.m.
