EDINBORO, Pa. (Nov. 17) – In a rematch of the regular-season finale, the Vulcans were eliminated from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament on Tuesday night with a 3-0 loss (25-10, 26-24, 25-17) at top-seeded Edinboro in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the Fighting Scots improve to 31-5 this year and will face Shippensburg in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 20, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Senior Mary Lavery (La Plata, Md./La Plata) led the team with seven kills and junior Danielle Hayes (Erie, Pa./McDowell) finished with five kills. Junior setter Megan Litoborski (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) guided the offense with 16 assists on Tuesday night.

Litoborski also paced the defensive effort with 12 digs to record her 23rd assist/dig double-double of the season. Fellow junior Abby Matusik (Mars, Pa./Mars) finished with 11 digs and Hayes added eight digs against the Fighting Scots. Freshman Seairra Barrett (Center Twp., Pa./Central Valley) controlled the net with six blocks, while Hayes and senior Miranda Fouzie (Kingston, Ontario/Sydenham) totaled four and three blocks, respectively.
